HOW TO SET UP A TEAM.
- The definition: Define the following: What you
want to achieve with the team, the kind of people that would help you achieve
the primary objectives of the team, the set skills required by each member of
the team, the overall skills required by every member of the team, team size etc.
- The reflection: Think about individuals within
your circle that have those required skills. Write out names of the persons you
have thought about.
-
The reach out: reach out to each of the names
that you have written down telling them clearly what you want to achieve and
your desire to have them on your team. Let them know how important they are to
the team.
- The scheduling; fix a meeting with all members
of the team. Ensure that everyone within the team attends the first meeting. Reschedule
meeting if any member of the team is not available for the first meeting.
- The sales: at the first meeting, consider
yourself as a sales person that wants to sell to willing buyers. You have to
sell your idea to the team such that they can connect with it and fly with it.
If you achieve this, your burden would be less and growth quick simply because
you would be working with highly self-motivated team.
